Last Update 1 March 2010

The site has been without updates for some time now due to several factors, but hopefully it can get back to its former glory. I am hoping to eventually get it completely back to how it was and would appreciate notification of any broken or missing links.

SCHOOL  TIES

John Fowl had a supply of 34 replica school ties which have now sold out, should enough interest be shown he may make another order.

John was able to offer them at around £7.00 each inc of packing and 1st class post within the UK. "They look really smart and one of my sons has already pinched one to wear to work", John said.
Expressions of interest should be sent to John Fowl at 45 Musley Lane, Ware, HERTS, SG12 7EW.

If anyone wishes to contact me first they can do so via snail mail or via thefowls@ntlworld.com

Attached is a picture of one of the ties and please note they are modern width rather than the skinny width we all wore.

NEWS

Queen Street Fields update
Philip Nyman reports that the Tottenham Journal are currently running this story regarding the future of the site, and asks if the Foundation would have any claim on monies raised from the sale?

He adds that perhaps all us Old Boys should write in to Haringey Council and protest, especially those still living in the area.

THE FIGHT to save much-loved playing fields from the bulldozers has suffered a setback after a bid to secure the site for village green status was refused.

Inspectors rejected the application for Bull Lane Playing Fields on the border of Tottenham and Edmonton, claiming not enough nearby residents use the grounds to play sport.

Campaigners now face a wait until Haringey Council announces whether to build a housing development there or bow to public demand and save the 11-acre site.

Activist Malcolm Springthorpe, secretary of Community Action Sport, who supported the application by an unnamed resident, said: "It did fail but that now leaves it open for the main thrust from us. We are now heading into the 25th year of our campaign and finally it looks like the council is ready to make a decision and the wind may begin to blow our way."

The village green status application was submitted to Enfield Council, but it will be Haringey Council, as owner of the site, which will decide the future of the grounds in the New Year.

I am also looking to add the year pupils started at the school, so if you get a minute can you let me know via the link below.
