Many memories of TGS, and sadness that the building no longer exists. Left after 5th form with various office jobs in the City before settling upon reinsurance, which has taken me through much of Latin America and various parts of Europe, but now very much stuck in London. Live in Billericay; 2 grown-up sons, and two grandsons. Still support the Spurs, and remember my conflict with Mr Porter who wanted me to play rugger for the school whilst I wanted to play soccer for Tottenham district (along with Bernie Simmonds - also of TGS).
One odd story - sitting on a beach in the South of France some 15 or so years ago, I got talking to another Brit, who turned out to be ex-TGS (same era). I believe his name was Beamish; he worked for the then LEB. I then saw him on national TV some months later as spokesman for LEB following some tragedy at an electrical sub-station.
