Past Pupils

Charles Gopaul (1977)

I left Somerset school in 1977. I recall Elvis dying the day the last exam results came in,
and a few weeks before Mr Yarrow taking a group of pupils out for drinks at a pub and then more drinks at his house.

I'm now living in Ontario, Canada

Fondest memories are with Mr. Tunley, Throwing a pieces of chalk ,"curve-ball" fashion, to make it look like it
came from the other side of the class room,
and watching him explode as he turns round and screems " Who throw that ? Who throw that ?". As if anyone would admit it.

It was hard holding back the laughter. I feel rotten now, because i never learnt any French.

I remember Mr. Mackay from the lower school.. i caught up in maths because of him, and the school trip to Germany.
However, i am sad to learn of Mr. Yarrow's passing. Nice guy, great teacher.

Classmates i remember are: George Tadrous, gerry macfarlane, Ashfaf Mohammad,
Jim Pickard and Terry Ashley ( inseparable those two ),Leon ???,Norman Beckford,
Clive Durston and Grant Shayler (both came up with me
from same primary school .. Coleraine Park)
and a host of faces I cannot put names to, memories are faded.

Like to hear from anyone who remembers me and wishes to contact.
