Somerset School(s)
Formerly Tottenham Grammar
School
I have built this site so that people can reminisce about the
schools. It was a direct result of my membership
to the Friends Reunited site (www.friendsreunited.co.uk).
What for me started as "Five minutes of boredom"
seems to have gone further than I could ever have expected.

Somerset School (Formerly Tottenham Grammar School), consisted of three (Four if you include the period of the fire in 1975) sites. The original school being in Somerset Road, at the High Cross, Tottenham. The Lower School was in Lordship Lane, near the outdoor pool.
The Upper School was in White Hart Lane at its junction with Creighton Road, Tottenham N17. Again this building was demolished and replaced by a housing estate.
The Somerset Road building is still standing, but the two newer buildings have sadly both long gone, being replaced by housing estates.
During the period February 1975 - 1977 following the fire in the Upper School, Haringey Council purchased the old St Angela`s School site in Earlham Grove, Wood Green. This building housed years 3 - 5.
