I started at the old High Road School, then moved
to the new school at White Hart Lane. I was one of the evacuees to Chelmsford
in 1939, we split our classes between Great Baddow and Chelmsford Grammar. A
bit dis-organised, and in fact the masters never knew for sure where we were.
Sad to say, my memory had dimmed a lot.
