Past Pupils
Lester Lovelock (1956)
I was at TGS from 1949 - 1956 and was in the Red House (Morley).
I was in the school rugby team.
When I was at the school I lived in Amersham Avenue which is right behind the sportsfield in Queen Street.
I left TGS in 1956, and did two years National Service in the RAF as a radar fitter. Then when I left I joined the National Physical Laboratory in the high voltage labs.
When this closed I went to the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) laboratory at Leatherhead in Surrey.
In time this became the National Grid to which I finally left in 2000 due to ill health.
