Past Pupils

Mark Nagle (1982)

I attended the school from 1977 to 1982 and enjoyed my time there. However, it must be said that I enjoyed the Lower School more than the Upper School.

I still see a large number of ex pupils on a regular basis, and would like to contact some other old faces from the past. When I was in the Upper School I managed to reach the dizzy heights of being the Chief Librarian, even the though the library was closed for much of the time. However, my time was not wasted as I and many others use the time to improve our spelling skills by playing many games of Scrabble.......

My only other claim to fame was coming runner up in a Mastermind competition in the Lower School. However, I must come clean after all these years and confess that I cheated. I did this by getting someone to lip-read where my opponents had placed their colours and in what combination. Therefore to all those beaten opponents, I offer a full and humble apology.

I was sad to see the school closed and eventually demolished as the school should have stayed open and carried on it proud traditions, something sadly missing for school children of today. In addition it also installed in a degree of discipline and a sense of pride in ourselves, again something the current generation of school children could learn a bit more of.

I am still a regular visitor to Tottenham as my parent still live near the Lower School. I myself have moved to the leafy suburbs of Winchmore Hill.
