Past Pupils
Martyn Lloyd (1974)
I left in 1974 having completed the fifth form as the years were known then. I was in Hill house. I started in 1F1 and finished in 5S. Most memorable events were trips to France, Pendarron House in South Wales, Abercraig (again in South Wales) in 1st or 2nd year with 'Evans the Art' and two Skiing trips to Austria with Mr Phipps. Strongest memories of the breaks were football where invariably someone would end up climbing onto a roof to retrieve a ball (they'd have to do a risk assessment first these days) and also four square. There was always a huge queue waiting to play and invariably you'd get to first or second square and get knocked out again. Spent more time queuing than playing. I also remember Pete Mason's obsessive gambling. I lost count of the times I was taken to the cleaners by Petes deck of cards. I was nearly electrocuted once by the ATC mockup of an airfield, someone had plugged in the runway lights and left the top off the plug. The runway lights may not have been working but my eyes were compensating. Enough rambingly from me, would be happy to exchange emails with anyone who remembers me
