I was at TGS from 1951 to 1956. I was a sergeant
in the ATC squadron which I kept up until 1959.
I witnessed a ball and chain demolishing the
school building in Creighton Road many years ago - just happened to be driving
down there. Not a pleasant feeling.
I lived in the Enfield area for most of my working
life (Tax Inspector) but have now retired to a lovely village in Oxfordshire,
with wife, Jean, who is ex-Edmonton Latymer, and our oldest unmarried son. A
married daughter, also a "refugee" from Enfield, now lives in a village 5
miles away with two of our four grandchildren.
Our main hobby is singing. We are both in
barbershop quartets and also in a mixed voice a cappella group of 20 based now
in Hemel Hempstead, previously in Enfield (

enjoy walking and reading.
I've been in touch in recent years with Peter
Dedman (1958 leaver?) and with David Goodman who is listed as a 1957 leaver,
and who is now a US citizen living in San Francisco. David was in the UK a
couple of years back and called on us - following my contacting him via this
web-site. So that's really friends re-united, thank you Paul!
I have e-mail addresses for both if anyone wants
to contact them.
